The principal aims of the group, which was formed in 2004 are to:

Promote an appreciation of the history, architecture, landscape
and wildlife of Countesthorpe, Foston & district.
Encourage interest in the heritage of the community, through
a program of meetings, guest speakers and joint projects with
similar minded organizations.
Act as a focus for those interested in the heritage of the district.
Monthly meetings (September to May) take place on
fourth Fridays from 7.30pm, normally in the Village Hall.
Further information may be obtained from the secretary,

Countesthorpe Patient Participation Group
Members of Countesthorpe PPG are all patients at the Countesthorpe
Health Centre, meeting bi-monthly to discuss and suggest improvements
to the patient experience. The group is open to all patients of
this practice.
Our project in 2012 is to provide a defibrillator for the village
that will be available 24/7 access, probably sited in the village
hall. This will mean if someone were to suffer a heart attack, residents
could use the device themselves to help while waiting for an ambulance.
There is a defibrillator at the Health Centre but due to limited
opening times is not always available.
If you would like more information about our group,
please contact our reception (tel: 0116 277 6336), or contact us
through our Countesthorpe
Patient Participation Group website.
